Police arrested a resident of Mongripper Hill, Bartica, Region 7 on Thursday for the unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.

According to a police report, ranks acted on information and went to Honey Camp Backdam, Middle Mazaruni at about 17:00hrs and conducted a search on the 34-year- old miner and found an unlicensed .32 pistol with two (2) live matching rounds.

He is being processed for Court.
