This passed him through to the quarter-finals where he came up against Nestor Lin.
Ramdhani won the match 20-22, 21-14, 21-11 but then went under 10-21, 12-21 against number two seed Eugene Chan in the semi-finals.
In the Men’s doubles Narayan partnered with Zack Fan, and the pair went under 8-21, 13-21 in the semi-finals, when they were pitted against number two seeds Alex Lin and his partner Jackson Yang.
Last weekend’s matches followed similar third-place finishes that Narayan placed in the open Men’s singles and Under-23 Men’s doubles at the BC Senior Circuit 2 – 2017 Shuttlesport Senior Open/Under-23 tournament.
The Guyana Badminton Association issued a statement yesterday, saying the body is “extremely pleased that Narayan, being still a junior, is holding up with his training plan to keep up in the senior division”.
Only two weeks ago he got third place in the Open Men’s Singles & Under-23 Men’s Doubles and won the Consolation in the Under-23 Mixed Doubles at the BC Senior Circuit 2 – 2017 Shuttlesport Senior Open/Under-23 tournament.
