Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan remanded a 17-year-old boy of Canvas City, Wismar Linden when he appeared before her charged with robbery with aggravation. It is alleged that February 8 , 2017 in the Canvas City area in Wismar, Linden, while armed with a handgun the teen robbed Lynette Richmond of four gold rings value$ 80,000 and one silver ring worth $ 3,500 and 2 Gold Chains, valued $210,000.
The teen entered a not guilty plea. However Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones objected to bail, citing that the weapon was used when the teen carried out the attack. Jones also objected to bail based on the nature and gravity of the offence. The teen was also charged with assaulting a peace officer. It is alleged that on February 7 he assaulted police man Treon Thomson while he was executing his duties. The matter was transferred to the Linden Magistrate’s Court for the February 21.
