West Demerara Colors/Guinness Street Football Showstoppers continue fine form to crush Money Team 5-0

THE wins continued for Showstoppers as they beat the MoneyTeam 5-0 when action in the Colors/Guinness street football championships on the West Bank of Demerara, continued on Saturday evening.Playing at the Pouderoyen Tarmac, the organisers surly left the best for last as the Showstoppers side through Hubert Pedro (10th and 23rd), Dexroy Adams (14th and 18th) and Kayode King (17th), scored another blowout.
Earlier in game one, Harmony Ballers needed penalties (2-1) to be adjudged winners against Goal Getters as their game ended goalless while Agricola needled Golden Warriors 1-0 through Gordon Grant (16th).
Game three was a walkover for Tajoe’s Admiral United after West Side Ballers failed to show up, while Leon Yaw helped Brothers united beat De Kinderen 1-0 and Nicquan Nestor (5th), allowed ESPN a win over Young Ballers.

Jetty also needed to go to penalties for a 3-2 decider against Goed Intent All-Stars

After two rounds of action, ESPN lead Goal Getters by a +1 goal difference as they both tied on six points with Harmony Ballers and Young Ballers are third and fourth respectively.

Group B has Tajoe’s Admiral United on top with six points while West Side Ballers has a goal advantage over Brothers United and De Kinderen is down in fourth.

Group C see Hustlers in the lead by a +7 goal difference over Agricola (+1), Golden Warriors and Patentia are in third and fourth respectively, while Showstoppers lead the D group with six points,
Jetty are in second place and Money team third due to a -5 goal difference; Goed Intent are down in the cellar.

Matches continue on Thursday.
