A total of six goals were scored on the opening day of the Petra/Milo U-18 football tournament when play commenced at the Ministry of Education ground.
In the first game, it was easy pickings for Masters Academy as they decimated Bishops’ High 3-1. James Walcott scored a brace for the Academy side in the 12th and 48th minute while Teon Vankenic slotted home the third in the 59th.

Bishops’ High, who took the lead early on through Darin Chan in the 5th minute, were not able to find the back of the net again.
A no-show for Houston Secondary meant that St Rose’s High got a walk over, while game three between North Ruimveldt and St Joseph High ended 1-1.
Jerren Shepard put St. Joseph High in the lead in the 61st before Omar Sinclair 66th minute goal ensured that said lead was short-lived.

The final game of the afternoon,which featured two time defending champions Chase academy against Freeburg,saw the former winning via a walkover.
Action continues today with Lodge Secondary taking on St. Mary’s Secondary school while Kingston will have to play East Ruimveldt. Tucville and St. John’s College will play game three while Morgan Learning Centre and Charlestown Secondary will play game four.
