JUSTICE Jo-Ann Barlow and a Demerara Assize Jury heard that Kenneth Bhagwanden attended a Bar-B- Que at Goed Fortuin, West Bank Demerara, one night in November 2011, when Azaad Ally, called “Sadam” allegedly discharged a firearm at him with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.Sadam, defended by former Judge Jaynarayan Singh, has pleaded not guilty.
Bhagwanden said he had attended the fete and was walking away in the early morning of November 6, when he was shot and injured.
The prosecution is conducted by Shanette Austin, Miss Tamieka Clarke and Mandel Moore.
The trial continues.
