Seventeen – year – old Leon Richie died at the West Demerara Regional Hospital Wednesday morning after he was stabbed by his cousin during an altercation.

Guyana Chronicle understands that Richie and his 15-year-old cousin were involved in an argument over a cell phone charger at Richie’s Lot 20 Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara home when the teenager stabbed him in the chest with a knife.

He was rushed to the hospital, where he subsequently died. The perpetrator is in police custody.
