Patricia Chase-Green has been re-elected Mayor of Georgetown, while Lionel Jaikaran of the Alliance For Change (AFC) has been elected as the Deputy Mayor.

During the in-house elections today at City Hall, Chase-Green was unopposed after former Deputy Mayor, Sherod Duncan withdrew his candidacy, citing “ministerial intervention” in the voting process.

Jaikarran, who is an Ophthalmologist by profession, was the president of the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC)
