ANSA McAl Construction Solutions Manager, Jared Kissoon, emphasised that a focus on customer service will be a big part of business at the new Penta Paint Colour Studio, when the facility was commissioned yesterday morning at the company’s office in Beterverwagting, East Coast Demerara.

“Customer service is a very, very big part of how we do business and how we’re going to be doing business at the colour studio. Part of our training for our staff is a lot of customer service training. I think a lot of Guyanese are disaccustomed to good service, and that’s not something we do here at Penta, it’s about interactions with the customer. People want to be heard, they want to be listened to, and we do that here,” said Jared during yesterday opening ceremony.

This is the second colour studio that the company has opened with the first one located on Lombard Street, Georgetown, and plans are afoot to have more of the same all across Guyana. Ansa McAl’s Managing Director, Beverley Harper, explained that the concept of the colour studio is to improve on persons experience when purchasing paint. “This is the second colour shop we’ve opened. The idea of the colour shop is that you can go in and pick the paint that they want, not the paint that’s available, but the paint that you want, mixed to perfection. We hope to have them all over the country eventually,” Harper related.

The well blended multi-coloured walls of the studio give patrons a perfect specimen of how they can mix and match the paint colours to brighten any environment. “There’s a colour combination that we’ve used to illustrate, and highlight how wonderful colours can look and can help to change the entire outlook of your abode, however humble it may be it can turn into a palace with our colours,” Harper noted.

Though not in place as yet, the facility will also be coming with a colour consultation corner where customers can discuss what works best for them, and get ideas on what colours to choose. To celebrate the new opening, a buy-one-get-one-deal will be ongoing at the store all day today, where customers making purchases will have their purchase matched free of cost.

Additionally, the colour studio will also be retailing clay blocks and pathway tiles. Kissoon outlined that the clay blocks are far superior to the widely used concrete blocks. “Someone was asking me about the benefits of using clay blocks, I told them to challenge any concrete block manufacturer to give an advantage of concrete blocks over clay because there really are none. Clay blocks are stronger, lighter, moisture resistant, thermal resistant, fire proof, and it’s not that they will take long to burn it’s that they won’t burn.” Kissoon reported.
