A 26-YEAR-OLD man on Monday walked out the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court a free man after City Magistrate Dylon Bess dismissed the charge of murder that was instituted against him.

The court was forced to dismiss the charge since there was no “hard evidence” to commit the accused to stand trial in the High Court.

Orell Cooke, of Lot 70 Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara was represented by attorney Mark Conway and acquitted from the charge which claimed that on August 1, 2016 he killed John Knight at Soesdyke.

After almost four months on trial and remand the matter against Cooke was dismissed.
