POLICE are investigating an accident which occurred Monday at the junction of North Road and Oronoque Street, Bourda, Georgetown where two motorcars collided, resulting in both vehicles heading into a nearby canal on North Road. One eyewitness said a white Nissan Bluebird PVV 1889 was travelling in a northerly direction

on Oronoque Street when it jumped the major road resulting in a collision with a blue Toyota Spacio PPP 1643. The Toyota vehicle which was being driven by a female ended up nose deep into a nearby canal and the other vehicle was prevented from going farther into the canal because of a rope barricade on the parapet.
Eyewitnesses say that the intersection experiences many crashes and the police should start placing humps on the streets that do not have the right of way.
