A CHINESE chef who works at the Kamboat Restaurant on Sheriff Street, Campbellville Georgetown was shot and robbed by three bandits in the wee hours of Sunday morning.Reports reveal that the chef had exited his car, PPP 2288, to open his gate when three bandits pounced on him; the bandit with a handgun relieving him of his cell phone, a silver chain and $80,000 in cash. In process of the robbery, the chef was shot in his right leg, while minutes later the perpetrators jumped into a dark-coloured vehicle and made good their escape.
Following the robbery, the chef contacted a colleague, who assisted him in getting to a private city hospital, where he was admitted.
The police recovered a 9mm spent shell at the scene of the robbery as they commenced investigations.
