-Team-Mohamed’s Enterprise takes outlaw; super-stock pole

KRISTIAN Jeffrey returned to fine form with a pole grabbing group performance for today’s International Race Meet at the South Dakota Circuit.
Jeffrey, who had mechanical troubles in two of the three earlier legs, made a strong return to the track with a blistering 34.139, ahead of Jamaica’s Doug Gore during yesterday afternoon’s qualifying session.
Speaking after the run,Jeffrey said, “I’m actually surprised I got pole, the conditions were bad. The track was very slippery while we ran. I had a lot of break issues and the engine seems to have some issues with low oil pressure. We have to rectify that.
“The plan is the same as usual. Every time I go to the track, I want to give it my all but it’s man versus machine all the time. However,I’ve been doing some karting because I’ve got a race in Vegas;so physically I’m fit; I’m ready and let’s see if the cars hold up,”he added.
Meanwhile, Paul Vieira (36.105) will head the group, three ahead of Danny Persaud (36.667) and Ravi Singh (36.755) with the battle for bragging rights still very much alive.
Group two on the other hand has Barbadian Mark Thompson on pole ahead of Trinidad’s Luke Bohla, Guyana’s Shairaz Roshandin and Shan Seejatan.
Bryce Prince of newly formed Team-Mohamed’s Enterprise took pole in the super-stock class with a 34.304 time, with Elliot Vieira putting down a 34.590 time to start alongside the American.
The outlaw class will be led by the team’s Matt Truelove
A statement from the team reads,“our riders (Bryce Prince and Matt Truelove) exceeded expectations during qualifications and we are proud that they are riding under our banner. We want to thank the technicians and all the support staff for preparing the bikes. We are hoping to replicate the same performances as that as qualifying.”
Today’s session begins at 08:00 hrs with the lap of honour.
