A 23-YEAR-OLD Linden resident was on Thursday remanded to prison, after being charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.Kyretha Sultan, a bartender, of Lot 70 Amelia’s Ward, Linden, was on Wednesday morning nabbed at the Itaballi Check Point, by ranks of the Guyana Police Force, with four hundred and seventy-nine grams of cannabis sativa (marijuana).

The defendant appeared before Magistrate Dylon Best at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court; pleaded not guilty and was remanded until November 24, 2016 for trial.
