POLICE Public Relations and Press Officer, Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan will be performing duties of Traffic Chief, effective from Thursday in the absence of Traffic Chief, Dion Moore.Moore will be attending an International Conference on Alcohol, Drugs and Road Safety, in Gramado, Brazil from October 16-19.

He will be joined by a representative from the National Road Safety Council.

The event is the triennial conference (since 1950), organised by International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety (ICADTS).

These are premier international meetings on impaired driving, and attract scientists and policymakers from around the world.

Attendees will have an excellent opportunity to meet all those involved in road safety research, and to promote integration and interaction with investigators, academics and professionals working in this area.
