THE building which housed the headquarters of The United Force (TUF) at Shiv Chanderpaul Drive, opposite the Bourda Cricket Ground is being demolished.

Persons at the site reported that the facility was torn down by its owners.

The United Force, which was launched on 5th October 1960, celebrated its 56th anniversary this year. The leaders who founded the party were drawn mainly from the business community at the time and they included Peter d’Aguiar, who was long seen as its visionary leader.

At the May 2015 polls, the party failed to obtain a seat.
