JUSTICE Roxanne George on Tuesday ordered a Probation Report for Neil Boodram who appeared before her and pleaded not guilty to the murder of Madan Kumar Sahadeo, but guilty of manslaughter.

After the accused, who was represented by Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Mark Conway requested a probation report for his client, State counsel, Miss Tuana Hardy reported that the accused committed the offence on April 28, 2013 by slitting the throat of Sahadeo.

Mr. Conway noted that his client, a fisherman, had expressed remorse for what had happened. His client, who is a model prisoner at the Georgetown prison was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the offence.

The judge fixed October 28 at 9am for probation report and sentence.
