THE battered body of a father of two was found on the seashore of Hague, West Coast Demerara (WCD) Thursday morning.Dead is Prakash Mahipaul called “Sunil” of Hague Jib, WCD. The machinist recently returned from vacation in the United States with his family. His body was taken to Ezekiel Funeral Parlor.

Residents in the area said that Mahipaul’s face appeared to have marks of violence, while others speculated that he may have taken his own life.

Police have since arrested the man’s wife and are looking for another suspect to assist with investigations. Mahipaul was described as an easy-going, quiet and decent man who is friendly. Others said that the man was in a troubled relationship.

Neighbours and residents flocked outside of the man’s home where they were very vocal about the man’s death, laying all blame at the feet of his wife.
