Chronicle Sport with the swimmers after the event.
According to Scott “I’m satisfied with my results but a bit disappointed that I stumbled when exiting the water in the final beach run to the finish.”
It was the stumble that allowed the others behind to catch up and pass him. At that point he was in 6th position.
Winter chimed-in that he was happy with his performance, despite feeling that he could have done better.
SImmons added that she was exhausted but proud of her performance. The 20-year-old swimmer competed in the event last year when she swam a shorter distance.
The team returns to Guyana today along with the medals and trophies won during the event.
