GUYANESE businessman Stanley Ming has confirmed that two of the three Suzuki Radicals expected to be shipped to Guyana within the month are his while the third Radical belongs to Mark Vieira.Speaking to Chronicle Sport yesterday, the businessman, whose son races in the Barbadian SR3 series, confirmed that he has requested his Radicals be shipped to Guyana for a demonstration at the South Dakota Circuit.
He also confirmed that he is in talks to with the Guyana Motor Racing and Sports Club (GMR&SC) to have the demonstrations coincide with the final leg of the Caribbean Motor Racing Championship in Guyana.
Meanwhile. he explained that the idea behind bringing his two Radicals here is to introduce the Guyanese public to single make series. Ming confirmed that he is the stakeholder currently pushing the demonstration idea here.
There are currently three Guyanese participating in the Barbadian series – Ming’s son Calvin, Mark and Kristian Jeffrey, all of whom took part in the series last weekend in Barbados.
Meanwhile sources have indicated that Kristian Jeffrey is also planning to have his Radical shipped out of Barbados as well with the likely destination being England. However, neither Kristian nor his father Kevin was available for comment yesterday as they are out of the country.
