CITY Magistrate Leron Daly set bail to the tune of $120,000 for a 19-year-old, accused of break and enter and larceny. Kemuel James of Pomeroon Village, Region 2 denied that he broke into the dwelling house of Delbert Marks and stole a quantity of items.The court heard that between July 29 and August 29 at Eteringbang, Cuyuni River, the accused carted off a Stihl chainsaw, RCA laptop and an amplifier—all totaling $422,000 – property of Marks.

James, who was unrepresented, was instructed to return to court on August 21. Police Prosecutor, Inspector Kevin London did not reveal any facts of the matter to the court.
Meanwhile, a 44-year-old miner was released on $70,000 after being charged for allegedly receiving the stolen laptop from the teen. Richard Johnson of Mabaruma Township is alleged to have received from Kemuel James a RCA laptop valued $180,000 property of Delbert Marks, knowing same was stolen or unlawfully obtained.
Johnson denied the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Daly. He was subsequently released on $70,000 bail and ordered to return to court on August 31.
