THE 2016 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) finally reaches the playoff stage, where in four matches we will come to know the identity of the winner of this year’s title.Guyana Amazon Warriors, who finished the group stage in first place, lost just three out of 10 games while winning seven to finish on 14 points.

The Warriors come into this clash on the back of consecutive wins, and will be in a confident frame of mind, knowing that they have two chances to reach the final.
Chris Lynn has been their key player when it comes to the batsman, scoring 398 runs and is currently placed second in the highest run-scorers list while Sohail Tanvir and spinner Adam Zampa have combined to take 32 wickets, finishing second and third on the wicket-takers list respectively.
These three players will need to fire if Guyana are to reach what will be their third CPL final in the franchise history.
Their opponents Jamaica Tallawahs who finished second in the league table, lost the same number of games like their opponents, finishing with 13 points from their 10 games.
The Tallawahs outfit, though, come into this clash on the back of consecutive losses and will know that this is the best stage to stem the flow of losses.
In skipper Chris Gayle, Kumar Sangakkara, Andre Russell and Shakib Al Hasan, the Tallawahs have players who are capable of winning matches single-handedly and will hope that one of them fires tonight.
The absence of premier fast-bowler Dale Steyn has been a big blow with Andre Russell not coming to terms as the main bowler of the team.
The Tallawahs have experience of winning the tournament, when they won the inaugural edition in 2013. However, they will come into this clash as the underdogs, with the Guyana outfit favourites to win tonight.
