Wismar man looted electronic items during house break-in – court told

A LINDEN man was on Tuesday refused bail by Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Linden Magistrate’s Court for allegedly breaking and entering the home of Jermaine Maison. The charge read that between 23:55 hrs on Sunday, May 15th, 2016 and 05:50hrs on Monday May 16th, 2016 Terrence Lowenfield, age 27, of Lot 141, Half Mile, Wismar broke and entered the property of Maison at Lot 16, Dahila Street, Wismar, Linden.

He allegedly stole one 45” flat screen TLC Smart TV valued $230,000, one cell phone valued $40,000, one Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued $45,000 and one BLU cell phone valued $20,000, totalling in value $335,000.

A bail application was made by the defendant’s attorney but this was objected to by the prosecutor who argued that Lowenfield was likely to commit other offences of a similar nature if granted bail and will not return to court to defend the case.

The excavator operator was remanded to the Camp Street Prison and will make his next court appearance on Tuesday, June 28th, 2016.
