FIVE teams registered victories last Saturday when the Guyana Football Federation’s (GFF)/NAMILCO Thunderbolt Flour Power Under-17 League continued in three associations.Playing in the West Demerara Football Association league at the Den Amstel ground, the home side beat Slingerz 3-1 through a goal each from Malcolm Miggins, Anthony Benn and Keswin Fraser in the 19th, 28th and 29th minutes respectively, while Akeem Hussein replied with one goal for Slingerz.
Fruta Conqueors, Georgetown Football Club and Alpha United were in winners’ row in the Georgetown Football Association’s League.
Playing at the Tucville ground, Fruta Conquerors dismissed Santos 3-0 compliments of goals from Joel Yhap, Nicholas McArthur and Malachi Adonis in the 21st, 24th and 69th minutes respectively.
Alpha United then brushed aside Order and Discipline 3-0 with goals coming off the boots of Julian Bamfield in the 24th minute, Daniel Agustin in the 38th minute and Cleon Robertson in the 69th minute.
The Georgetown Football Club also enjoyed a 2-0 win against Camptown. Kellon Blue and Williamson De Santos were the two goalscorers.
