THE Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) has announced that the national team will not attend the Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol (CSV) Tournament in Cartagena, Colombia.The Federation cited the prohibitive cost of the airfare to Colombia and insufficient funds as the reasons for the non-attendance.
The Federation announced that though this would disappoint the team, they have confirmed participation in a tournament set for Roraima, Brazil which is of lower cost with just as much competition.
The team is currently preparing for the Brazil tournament scheduled for August 5-8 of this year.
