MOTHERS who will give birth on May 26, 2016 will be given a special treat of baby products from popular brands including Teddies, Pampers, Dr Chase and Always, which are distributed by the Massy Group. The management of Massy Group presented 50 hampers to the Minister within the Ministry of Education, The Hon Nicolette Henry at their new distribution site at Happy Acres, East Coast Demerara, last Friday.
“This is a noble gesture, and certainly this is the type of partnership the ministry and the Government appreciate,” Minister Henry stated in her acceptance remarks, while indicating her willingness to work with companies and agencies that are interested in furthering the development of our people.
“In the case of the 50th you know that this is a momentous occasion for Guyana.
“The theme ‘Reflection, Celebration, Inspiration speaks to three important areas,” the minister said. She shared her sentiments regarding the deeper meaning and symbolism of the theme which calls on Guyanese to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and inspire Guyana’s youth for the future.
“The selection of a roaring jaguar as the logo also bears great significance to the country’s movement into the future.”
