GUYANESE Revlon Lake is scheduled to tackle former world champion Demarcus `Chop Chop’ Corley in what would be his fourth fight for the year. Lake is down to fight the American in a junior welterweight contest on June 25 at the Chinese Benevolent Association auditorium in Kingston, Jamaica. Lake, 37, last entered the ring in March when he fought Anthony Woods at the same venue. He defeated Woods by a majority decision. Corley, a former World Boxing Organisation super lightweight champion would also be making his fourth appearance in the ring this year.
He won the vacant WBO title in June 2001 after knocking down Felix Flores twice. In his prime the southpaw American battled Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Zab Judah and Junior Witter to name a few. Corley, 41, also had two bouts against Guyanese Dillon Carew and one against Iwan `Pure Gold’ Azore.
The June 25 clash would be Lake’s third appearance in Jamaica and at the same venue.
