Burnham Foundation to host general members meeting

AS part of the events to commemorate the life and works of Guyana’s First Executive President Linden Forbes Sampson Burnham, the Forbes Burnham Foundation (FBF) will host its general members meeting at Critchlow Labor College this Sunday.Burnham’s contributions to Guyana in areas of foreign affairs, infrastructural development, self-sufficiency, communication, youth development, and sports and culture, will be shared by former Georgetown Mayor and former Prime Minister Hamilton Green, who shared a close relationship with the late president.
A press release from the Burnham Foundation said a two-day photographic exhibition will also be held starting May 16 from 09:00hrs to 18:00hrs at the National Library to educate students about the life and works of Burnham.
Burnham was responsible for building the National Sports Hall and the National Cultural Centre, taking sports and culture into consideration.
The meeting begins at 14:00hrs sharp.
