CHRISTOPHER Boyer, a 29-year-old father of five of Wauna Hill in the Mabaruma sub-region of Region One, died on Sunday afternoon after a tree branch fell on him.Boyer reportedly went with his employer into a forested area near Wauna Hill to cut logs, at about 14:30 hrs, when the tree branch fell on him. He sustained mainly head injuries, and was soon after rushed to the Mabaruma Hospital, several miles away.

His mother, Evelyn Willis, told this publication last evening that her son died on the way to the hospital. The grieving woman said his loss was a huge blow to the family, as he was the sole bread-winner.

Boyer is expected to be laid to rest later this week.
