THE Guyana Defence Force Coast Guard will receive British Patrol Vessel the HMS MERSEY at Port Georgetown today.Following the vessel’s berthing, a media briefing and a brief tour has been scheduled.
The vessel’s Commanding Officer will also be visiting the Commonwealth War Graves at Eve Leary, Georgetown.
In addition, while in Port Georgetown, the vessel’s Commander will also pay courtesy calls on President Brigadier David Granger, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, and GDF Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mark Phillips.
