Windies Women must be patient against England – Taylor

WEST Indies Women skipper Stafanie Taylor has insisted patience will be the key ingredient for the team to be successful in their ICC World T20 clash against England today. The Windies, who have managed wins over Pakistan and Bangladesh so far, will meet the English in a Group B match at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala at 06:00hrs (07:00hrs ECT).
Taylor has led by example with the bat so far, crafting a hard-earned 40 in a low-scoring affair against Pakistan, and notching an identical score in a more comfortable win against Bangladesh.
England, who have registered wins over Bangladesh and India, will however be the team’s toughest test.
“We just need to be patient and selective in our shot-making,” Taylor said ahead of the match.
“We have to play what we see and not what we can’t see.”
The Windies Women are positioned at the top of the Group B standings with a maximum four points, the same as the English.
They boast a healthier net run-rate of +1.325, following victories in their first two matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh. (Sportsmax.com)
