Guyanese held in big cocaine bust in Barbados

LARGE QUANTITIES of cocaine and cannabis were seized at Carlisle Bay (Browne’s Beach), St Michael by the Drug Squad in an early morning operation on Wednesday. Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police and public relations officer David Welch said cocaine weighing 122.9 kilogrammes and valued in the region of $6 million and cannabis weighing 9 4 kilogrammes valued in the region of $375 000 were seized along with a boat. He said two males, a Barbadian and a Guyanese, were assisting police with the matter. (Barbados Nation)
