CITY magistrate Faith McGusty on Tuesday placed a couple on bail, after they were charged and made their appearance before her.Forty-five year old Mark Bradford, of Tucville, pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, he unlawfully assaulted Odetta Fogenay on Main Street, Georgetown.
According to the facts stated, the two had a misunderstanding as a result of which Bradford dealt Fogenay two slaps across her face. The matter was not reported to the police at the time, but was reported four days later when the two had another altercation.
On January 23, Fogenay was charged with larceny, after she allegedly stole from Bradford one pair of spectacles. That day, Fogenay was on the virtual complainant’s Facebook page when she observed messages which were sent by another woman to Bradford.
She became annoyed and asked him to leave the house and he complied. While he was walking along Main Street on that said night, she came up behind him in a Jeep she was driving and demanded that he enter the vehicle. After he resisted, she took his spectacles and drove away.
The two were later charged after the matters were reported. They are expected to return to court on February 15, 2016.
