A 45-YEAR-OLD Kitty resident was on Friday placed on $100,000 bail after he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan to answer to the charge of simple larceny. Paul Campton, 45, of Garnet Street, pleaded not guilty to the charge that between May 28, 2014 and August 10, 2015 he stole 12 iron grills valued $90,000, 20 ply boards worth $150,000, one aluminum sink valued $15,000 and other items to the total value of $623,000.
The matter has been adjourned until February 15 for statements.
