LED by an attractive 153 from skipper, Robin Bacchus, Georgetown Cricket Club whipped the Transport Sports Cub (TSC) by an innings and 51 runs when their GCA-sponsored Trophy Stall, GISC and Star Party Rentals two-day first division game ended on Sunday at the Georgetown Cricket Club.Scores in the match: TSC (179 & 70), GCC (301-6 declared).
Resuming day two on 108-1, GCC declared at 301-6, a first-inning lead of 122, with Bacchus, who resumed on 53, batting with much comfort.
He shared a 117-run partnership with Winston Forrester, who made 48, and then 99 with Martin Pestano-Bell, who contributed 46 for the third-wicket and 37 for the fourth wicket with Anthony Adams, who made 34.
Kevin Ross was the best bowler for TSC, with 4-89. After trailing by 122, TSC were bowled out for 70. Adams took 5-33.
Joshua Wade and Forrester supported Adams by taking two wickets each.
Meanwhile, in the other game, DCC and GNIC played to a tame draw.
