ELEGANT Jewelry and Pawn Shop held its fifth annual promotion yesterday, and 14 lucky persons benefitted from gifts worth $2M in total.

The presentation was held at the company’s head office in Durban Street, Georgetown, after the drawing was held last Friday.

The first prize winner was Yonette Rodney of Triumph, East Coast Demerara. She won herself a Jialing motor cycle, while the second prize winner, Douglas Isle of Alexander Village, won a refrigerator.

Don Fraser of Bartica won a washing machine (third prize) and Dharemendra Deodat of Houston won himself a gas stove as fourth place winner.

The consolation prize winners were Lionel McFarlane, Julette Gomes, Dennis Adams, Chad Jarad and Dhaneshwar Singh. They took away toasters, bicycle, flat screen TV, blender, and a DVD player
In addition, five lucky winners each won $5,000 in cash.

According to the proprietor, the promotion started in 2004. He explained that persons could have entered the competition by spending at least $2,000. He stated that the promotion is a way of giving back to customers.
