TWENTY-six-year-old Leeanna Naomi Allen of Kross Kolor Records is the Buzz’ artiste of the week. Leeanna has been singing since the age of 16, but got her first production break in 2015 with the album, “Labeled Loved”.

The album features 12 songs from the singer, who, though a Christian, finds that the songs do not fit the traditional mold of what we define as gospel.
Initially a poet, who has done a lot of spoken word pieces, Leeanna recalls the move that made her transition into music. She initially started writing music out of necessity, but has since continued to flow and navigate her musical path.
She would rather be tucked away in a corner with her earphones and a notepad and pencil than be on stage performing for an audience.
Aside from the world of music, Leeanna has a degree in Economics from the University of Guyana (UG), and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of the West Indies (UWI).
She says that she has done things at a faster pace and really early with regards to her academic life. However, this faster pace is not limited to academics, seeing that the “new kid on the bloc” has been married five years now, and already has a two-year-old child.
Asked how she came to be married so young, Leeanna said that at 22, she already knew who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, and the connection she had with him made it even easier. Leeanna is a volunteer with the Youth Corps Guyana, and in five years sees herself being a full-time musician and full time spoken word poet.
She is currently in production with Kross Kolor Records to produce a spoken word album.
Leeanna is a splendid individual with big plans for the future and slowing down, since, at 26, she has already jumped the biggest hurdles in life.
