A WEST Coast Demerara fisherman was found dead in his fishing net on Monday, police have reported. According to a release from the lawmen investigations are being conducted into the circumstances surrounding the death of fisherman Shahabudeen Haniff, 49 years, of Meten-Meer-Zorg, WCD, whose body was found in the net of a fishing vessel that was working in the vicinity of the Berbice River, during Monday. Haniff was a member of the crew of a fishing boat that had sailed on December 30, 2015, from a wharf at New Hope, East Bank Demerara for the Berbice area.
