THE Woodpecker Products annual Christmas Badminton Singles tournament has reached the final stage and the Guyana Badminton Association (GBA) is happy with the response shown by players, especially in the Boys and Girls U-11 and U-13 categories. Played at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on December 14-15, the tournament saw George Ramlall blast his way into the Under-11 final and the outstanding match of the tournament, with Akili

Under-11 Boys Final: Omar Samad defeated George Ramlall 21-18, 21-8.
Under-11 Girls Final: Gabriella Pertab beat Emily Choo-A-Fat 21-3, 21-11
Under-13 Boys Final: Gianni Carpenter thrashed Jadon Oodit 21-10, 21-2
Under-13 Girls Final: Siya Persaud trounced Sudarshani Sooknarine 21-6, 21-4
Under-15 Boys Final: Akili Haynes defeated Tyrese Jeffrey 21-18, 21-19
Under-15 Girls Final: Priyanna Ramdhani thrashed Priyanka Shivnauth 21-5, 21-7
