NOW that the 2015 edition of the Miss Guyana Universe Pageant has been officially launched, the nine contenders are poised for the airing tomorrow of the promised riveting televised intelligence segment.

This segment, which will see the delegates being interviewed by popular radio personality, Felize Robertson, is a critical part of the programme that will eventually decide which lucky delegate will be declared Miss Guyana Universe 2015.
With a simple but well organised ceremony, the Miss Guyana Universe 2015 Pageant was officially launched at the Princess Hotel’s Conference Room just recently. The occasion was also used to introduce the nine delegates to the public for the first time.
Addressing the sizeable gathering of special invitees, franchise holder Odinga Lumumba thanked sponsors for their unstinting support, and was particularly grateful to management of the Princess Hotel for making their facility available for the launch.
Besides noting that the actual pageant will be staged at the same venue on November 15, 2015, Lumumba said the night’s winner will represent Guyana in Las Vegas on Sunday, December 20, 2015, where she reportedly will be competing against 94 other delegates from around the globe.
The event is billed for The AXIS theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During his presentation, Lumumba called on corporate Guyana to support the event since some of the delegates were at the time still without sponsors.
Those competing for the coveted title this year are: Shauna Ramdian, Zeena Bland, Najuma Nelson, Babita Seelall, Malike Russel, Tricia Quail, Diana Hamad, Kiswana Jefford and Melissa Defrietas.
