NATIONAL road race and time trial champion Hamza Eastman is doubtful of being on Guyana’s cycling team selected for the Caribbean Elite Championships scheduled for Barbados on Sunday.According to reports, Eastman has suffered a hamstring injury during a training stint and believes that it may have originally occurred during Sunday’s 80-mile Mohamed Khadir Memorial road race.
Eastman said that his doctor has advised him to lighten the load of his training to speed up the healing process. He is however hopeful that he can recover in time for Sunday’s Championship road race.
The other members of the team are: Orville Hinds, Alanzo Greaves, Geron Williams and Michael Anthony.
