$50,000 up for grabs –in Mash Theme Competition

IT’S a well known fact that there are many creative and talented writers and composers out there, so here’s your chance to win some well-earned cash. As done each year, the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sports is hosting their ‘Mash 2016 Theme Competition and offering $50 000 to the lucky winner.
The rules of the competition dictate that entrants must be of Guyanese heritage, and the theme must be reflective of the spirit of the Mash Festival.
The theme can be less, but not more, than eight words and accompanied by a brief explanation.
The competition closes on Friday, October 23, 2015 and judging will be done by a panel chosen by the Central Mashramani Committee. The winning entry will become the property of the Mash Secretariat, Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport, and the prize for the winner will be handed over at the launching of Mash 2016.

Entry forms for the competition can be had from the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport website www.mcys.gov.gy, or can be uplifted at the Mash Secretariat Office, 91 Middle Street, South Cummingsburg, Georgetown.
