Pomeroon youth remanded for wounding with intent

TWENTY-one-year-old Pomeroon resident named Vandal appeared Monday before city magistrate Ann McLennan, charged with wounding Lionel Benny with intent to commit murder on September 16 at Granny Backbone, Cuyuni River.

Vandal was not required to plead to the indictable charge, and police prosecutor corporal Deniro Jones did not relate the facts to the court because the file was incomplete and police were still investigating the matter.

He was remanded, and will make his second court appearance at the Bartica Magistrate’s Court on October 07.
