THE Linden Technical Institute, last Friday, officially launched a Heavy Equipment Operators Training programme, the objective of which is to equip a cadre of youths of the mining town with marketable skills, relevant to the needs of mining concerns within Linden and surrounding communities.The programme, which is of eight weeks’ duration, is open to persons 18 years and over, and who must have at least a secondary education and a valid driver’s licence.
Registration begins on Monday September 21, 2015.
Application forms can be uplifted from the Linden Technical Institute on Mondays to Fridays, beginning from 9:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs and 13:00 hrs to 15:30 hrs.
At the end of the course, participants will be duly certified in Equipment Operation Techniques and Industry Rules and Regulations.
