A NINETEEN-year old attempted murder accused was on Monday released on $200,000 bail by City Magistrate Ann McLennan pending his court trial.
Nigel Fraser, 20, of 17th Street, Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD) had been on remand since August, charged with inflicting wounds on Brutus Taylor, with intent to murder him on August 7, at Golden Grove Housing Scheme, EBD.
However, his attorney Leslie Sobers made an application for his client to be admitted to bail. Prosecutor Corporal Deniro Jones had no objection but requested that the bail be substantial.
The accused was released on bail and was ordered to keep 50 feet away from the virtual complainant. The matter was adjourned until October 15.
