IN its preparation for the celebration of Amerindian Heritage Month, the Buck Hill Development Committee of Linden is requesting support for the hosting of their first Buck Hill Village Day on September 5th, 2015.Buck Hill is an Amerindian settlement located at Wismar on the West Bank of Linden, on a hill about 200 feet from the river and 100 feet above sea level.

The Village Day event is aimed at rehabilitating their playfield which would allow residents to benefit from healthcare, trade, sports, educational activities, and other activities.

The Amerindians have occupied this village for about 200 years or more. However, over the years the village has been somewhat underdeveloped.
