THE Guyana Police Force on Saturday afternoon drew the winning tickets for the Police Officers Mess Committee.The raffle was drawn at the Police Mess Hall in the presence of a small number of senior and junior police ranks, including trainees from the Felix Austin Police Training School.
The prizes up for grabs included a 42’’ flat screen TV as 1st prize, one double door refrigerator as 2nd prize, one IPhone as 3rd prize, a stereo set as 4th prize, and ten consolation prizes of $10,000 each.
Consolations prizes were won by holders of ticket numbers: 19988, 06009, 07565, 08888, 13986, 06712, 21358, 24704, 0133 and 2367.
The 4th prize of a stereo set was won by ticket holder 13783 while the 3rd prize was won by ticket holder 19833.
Holders of ticket numbers 15970 and 13855 won the 2nd and 1st prizes respectively.
President of the Guyana Police Force Mess Committee, Assistant Commissioner of Police Clifton Hicken was on hand to witness the drawing of the winning tickets as other persons showed up to ensure the transparency of the drawing.
The police expressed appreciation to the members of the public as well as the business community who put up prizes for the game.
The drawing was originally slated to take place in July, but was deferred due to other events that the Guyana Police Force had, including its anniversary celebrations.
Police as well as civilians were among the winners on Saturday.
