A driver is in police custody pending investigations into an accident in which a pedestrian was killed on Saturday on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.Police said at about 16:00 hrs on August 15, 2015, pedestrian Rudolph Ramsammy, 72, of Adventure, Soesdyke/Linden Highway, attempted to cross the roadway at Adventure and was struck down by a motor car.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Linden Hospital Complex.

The driver of the motor vehicle is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
