I think we would all agree that President Granger inherited a lot of weighty issues

– additionally, other serious challenges fell into his lap immediately after being elected. These problems all require the support of the Guyanese, especially his constituents, if they are to be resolved.

Unfortunately many of the President’ s core supporters are exhibiting early frustration and complain that they are starting to see a tone deaf administration – one that marches to their own beat and ignores the cries of the voters. We’ve seen flare ups in the Linden and Bartica communities. And some areas within region 4 (Albouystown) are complaining that the administration has neglected them while scrambling to appease PPP supporters, namely sugar workers.

Unless President Granger intends to lead his party into a one term presidency, it would be prudent for him to pay attention to his constituency.
