INTERNATIONAL electoral observer missions have declared the May 11 polls as free and fair before the electoral process – voting, tabulation and verification – is complete and are standing by that position, despite concerns of irregularities.President Donald Ramotar, today, insists that the credibility of these missions are at stake and concerns that could materially impact the elections results must be addressed.
In that case, he insists that the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) must “go to the box” (ballot boxes) to ensure that the process is one that is free, fair and credible, as well as free from fear.
